Disrespectful
DIS RE SPECT FUL (adjective)
- Showing a lack of respect or courtesy; impolite
Society views teenagers as ungrateful individuals who constantly get into fights with their family, friends, and authority. Teenagers are often perceived as sarcastic, smart-mouths who lack respect for those around them, especially those who care.
is it true?
No. Despite the fact that there are teenagers in the world who are disrespectful, this depends on the personality of the teenager rather than the fact that they are a teenager. It is incorrect to say that all teenagers are disrespectful, just as it is incorrect to say that all children and adults are disrespectful. Despite the fact that there are disrespectful people in the world, this trait cannot be directly associated with the majority of teenagers, for if a person is disrespectful in their teenage years, it is likely that they were also disrespectful as a child, and will continue to be disrespectful as an adult.
This incorrect trait of teenagers is often confused with rebellious. There is a strong difference between defying authority and disrespecting authority, for a person can be respectful while rebelling. This distinct difference is often ignored in societal views, leading to the naming of teenagers as "disrespectful".
