It is generally known that teenagers have a difficulty with long term planning. Because in teenage years, a person is discovering themselves and their paths in life, they often seem confused or unaware of what to do next.
Is it true?
Yes. Teenagers rarely know exactly what they want in life, and often need guidance when making important decisions. The teenage years are a transitional period between childhood--where a person is always watched out for--and adulthood--where a person must watch out for themselves. Teenagers often spend these years searching out what makes them happy and can be experimental with almost anything. The process of experimenting is often confused with expressing carelessness and poor focus on life. However, finding direction is an important part of maturing and is necessary for a person to continue on a happy path in life.
